What Topramezone Is
Topramezone belongs to the pyrazolone chemical class. It works by inhibiting the HPPD enzyme in susceptible plants. This disrupts pigment production, so treated weeds lose chlorophyll and stop growing.
It's a systemic herbicide. Weeds absorb it mainly through leaves after emergence. The compound moves within the plant and affects growing points. You'll see symptoms like bleaching and necrosis, but the speed depends on weed species and conditions.
Topramezone is selective in corn. Corn tolerates it because it metabolizes the compound quickly. Other crops are sensitive, so keep spray drift away from them. Always confirm the registered use pattern on your local label.

Formulation and Tank Mix Notes
CHICO offers topramezone in an oil dispersion (OD) formulation. The product is ATZOL, which contains 24% atrazine and 1% topramezone. OD formulations use oil as the carrier, which can improve leaf uptake under some conditions.
Before tank mixing, check the physical compatibility of all products. Do a jar test with the actual water you'll use. Don't mix with products that are strongly acidic or alkaline unless the label allows it.
If you plan to mix with adjuvants or other herbicides, confirm with your registrant. The local registered label is your reference. CHICO can supply formulation and quality documents, but registration decisions stay with you.
