What Cymoxanil Does in the Field
Cymoxanil belongs to the cyanoacetamide oxime chemical class. It works mainly as a contact fungicide with limited local systemic movement. Once applied, it disrupts fungal cell processes, stopping spore germination and early infection.
Growers use cymoxanil fungicide against oomycete pathogens, especially downy mildew and late blight. It's rarely sold alone. You'll see it mixed with protectant or systemic partners to widen the control window and manage resistance.

Formulation Types and Mixing Checks
CHICO offers cymoxanil in water dispersible granules and wettable powder. The WDG blends include cymoxanil famoxadone at 30% + 22.5% and cymoxanil cyazofamid at 50% + 10%. The WP blend is cymoxanil propamocarb at 14% + 14%.
Before tank mixing, check the label of your registered product. Confirm compatibility with adjuvants and other pesticides. Don't mix with strongly alkaline materials. Always run a jar test if you're unsure, and follow local use restrictions.
