Difenoconazole Mode of Action
Difenoconazole belongs to the triazole chemical class. It moves systemically inside the plant and inhibits sterol biosynthesis in fungi. That disrupts cell membrane formation, so fungal growth stops.
You'll see it used against a broad set of leaf and fruit diseases. It fits into protectant and early curative programs. Its strength is in preventive applications before infection gets established.
The active works slowly compared with some contact fungicides. It's not a knock-down product. In mixtures, it often pairs with a strobilurin like azoxystrobin or another triazole to broaden the spectrum.

Formulation and Tank Mix Notes
CHICO offers difenoconazole as suspension concentrate (SC) and emulsifiable concentrate (EC). The SC products include difenoconazole 12.5% with azoxystrobin 20%, and difenoconazole 8% with prochloraz-manganese chloride complex 20%. The EC combines difenoconazole 150 g/L with propiconazole 150 g/L.
Before tank mixing, check the label of your registered product. Confirm the formulation type and any adjuvant or pH restrictions. Don't assume a mix is safe just because both products are fungicides.
For SC products, shake or stir the container before measuring. For EC products, add the product to a mostly full spray tank with agitation running. If you're unsure about compatibility with a specific partner product, run a jar test first.
